Babyconnect: testing and validation for seamless maternity care

Digital data exchange in maternity care requires more than good intentions. It requires technology that works, standards that hold up, and an environment where you can demonstrate both. That is exactly what Interoplab has built for Babyconnect.

The challenge

Babyconnect is a VIPP programme focused on user-friendly digital data exchange, between clients and healthcare providers, and between providers themselves. The goal: seamless, connected care for mother and child throughout pregnancy and birth.

Suppliers and regional partnerships developing technology for this programme face a concrete question: does our solution work? Does it meet the interoperability requirements? And is it ready for regional rollout? Those questions cannot be answered without a solid testing environment.

Our role

Interoplab has set up a dedicated test and validation environment for Babyconnect. In this environment, suppliers can test whether their technology is ready for regional implementation. Regional partnerships can assess the architecture and its individual components, and verify to what extent the developed technology meets the agreed interoperability standards.

The environment is designed to support both technical and functional validation: from message structures to the coherence of the system as a whole.

How we work

Interoplab acts as a neutral, independent space between suppliers and regional parties. Organisations can work with it at their own pace, using tooling that gives immediate insight into what works and what does not. This means regions do not have to wait for full deployment to know whether the technology is ready.
